Three Years of Wishes: OrderLogix and the Magic of Wishes in the Meadow

At OrderLogix, we’ve always believed that a business has a responsibility that extends beyond its bottom line — a responsibility to the communities and causes that make life genuinely meaningful. Three years ago, we made a commitment to put that belief into action by becoming a Star Sponsor of WishesintheMeadow.org, an annual Make-A-Wish fundraising event held right here in Maine.

Looking back on those three years, we’re proud — and humbled — by what that commitment has helped make possible.

What Is Wishes in the Meadow?

Wishes in the Meadow is a community fundraiser held each summer at the beautiful Saco River Meadows in Buxton, Maine. The event brings together local families, businesses, and music fans for a full afternoon and evening of food, live music, games, and giving. Every dollar raised goes directly to Make-A-Wish Maine, funding life-changing wish experiences for children living with critical illnesses.

The mission of Make-A-Wish is one of the most straightforward and powerful in the nonprofit world: grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. A wish isn’t just a fun day or a special gift. Research shows that a wish experience can be a genuine turning point — giving children the strength and joy to face their treatments, and giving families a moment of pure happiness in the middle of some of the hardest days they’ll ever face.

Three Years of Real Impact

The numbers speak for themselves. Over the past two years alone, the Wishes in the Meadow community has raised more than $68,000 — enough to grant eight life-changing wishes to children in Maine. That momentum is only growing.

What the Event Looks Like

This year’s Wishes in the Meadow takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 3 PM to 9 PM at Saco River Meadows, 301 River Road, Buxton, Maine. It’s a full-day celebration, and there’s something for everyone.

Live music sets the tone all evening, with performances from Pale Horse and Frozen Cactus Trio. Pale Horse is a crowd favorite — a seasoned band that spans the full range of rock, country, pop, and oldies, weaving in classics from Tom Petty, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Lynyrd Skynyrd alongside country favorites from Garth Brooks and Johnny Cash. Whether you’re there for the nostalgia or just want something to move to, Pale Horse delivers. Frozen Cactus Trio rounds out the lineup as a blues-rock powerhouse out of Southern Maine, bringing high-energy performances rooted in classic tone, soulful grooves, and gritty guitar work.

This year, the event takes on an even deeper meaning. Several Make-A-Wish kids and their families will be in attendance — a powerful reminder of exactly who this day is for. You’ll also hear directly from Brian Franks, CEO of Make-A-Wish Maine, who will be speaking at the event, along with a wish family sharing their own story. Moments like those are what stay with you long after the music ends.

The games and activities are a huge part of the fun, especially for families. Highlights include:

• The Rubber Duck Race — only 100 ducks are available, and the first race goes off at 4:15 PM. You can snag your duck when you buy your ticket.
• Pitch & Putt — Play for chances to win raffle prizes and bragging rights.
• Disc Golf — Play for a chance to win raffle prizes.
• Cornhole and Giant Jenga on the lawn
• A Petting Zoo by Hoofin It
• Face painting, frisbee, marshmallow roasting, and frog catching
• A live and silent auction, with bidding opening online on June 20, 2026

There’s also food, beer and wine, and the gorgeous backdrop of the Saco River meadows and gardens.
